Large-Scale Floral Installations

Floral installations are where art meets architecture. These are the breathtaking, room-transforming pieces that make guests gasp when they walk into a space. At CHIC Flowers, large-scale installations are our specialty and our passion. Led by Alona Chasin, our design team conceptualizes, engineers, and executes custom floral installations that push the boundaries of traditional wedding floristry. What makes our installations truly unique is that we design and build our own structural elements in-house, including steel frames, glass vessels, wood armatures, and suspended rigging systems. This gives us complete creative control and allows us to create pieces that are engineered specifically for each venue's architecture.

Suspended ceiling installations are among our most requested large-scale designs. These overhead floral canopies create an immersive dining experience, enveloping guests in a cloud of blooms and greenery that floats above the reception space. We engineer custom steel grid systems that are rigged from ceiling points, then dress them with hundreds of stems of garden roses, hydrangeas, delphinium, and trailing greenery. The effect is transformative, turning a ballroom ceiling into a living garden. At venues like the Fairmont Grand Del Mar and Greystone Mansion, where architectural ceilings already carry grandeur, our suspended installations add a layer of natural beauty that elevates the entire room.

Flower walls and entrance installations create unforgettable first impressions and serve as built-in photo opportunities for guests. Our flower walls range from lush, fully bloomed panels of fresh garden roses and hydrangeas to modern designs incorporating dried elements, grasses, and mixed media. Staircase garlands transform grand entryways with flowing greenery and bloom clusters that guide guests from one level to the next. We also create sculptural freestanding pieces, such as oversized urns, floral columns, and botanical arches, that serve as dramatic focal points in lobbies, courtyards, and reception entrances.

Every installation begins with a site visit where our team assesses the venue's structural capacity, rigging points, ceiling height, and access logistics. We then develop detailed engineering plans and renderings that show exactly how the installation will look in the space. On installation day, our crew of trained riggers and floral artists works in coordination to build, hang, and dress each piece to perfection. Safety is paramount, and every suspended element is engineered with redundant support systems. The result is a floral experience that is as structurally sound as it is visually stunning.
